Welcome to the W9DVM Web Site I love HAM radio. I've been licensed since age 10 and everyday is an even better one because of my hobby. In 1958 I went to the North Pole with the International Geophysical Expedition and floated on a piece of ice for 10 months as KL7FLA and W9DVM/mm on Drift Station Alpha. What fun as a DXer. In 1961 I opened the first Amateur Electronic Supply in Orlando, Fl and remained for 3 years before switching to Electronic sales of high technology components. I'm now retired after 43 years and having fun. I operate on all bands including VHF. My main station is a loaded Elecraft K3/100, Palstar AT2K tuner and a KPA500 amplifer. For AM and vintage gear, WRL GlobeTrotter and RME 6900 receiver. For vintage SSB a Collins RE KWM2A and RE 30L-1 amplifier. My Pro 67C is at 75 feet and above that are large 6 and 2 meter beams. Mirage Amp for 2 meters. Married to a wonderful wife, Diane. 25 pound Maine Coon and Rag doll cats. Life is good. Look for me on the bands. 73 - Phil W9DVM |
