Welcome to the W9DVM Web Site

I love HAM radio. I've been licensed since age 10 and everyday is an even better one because of my hobby. In 1958 I went to the North Pole with the International Geophysical Expedition and floated on a piece of ice for 10 months as KL7FLA and W9DVM/mm on Drift Station Alpha. What fun as a DXer.
In 1961 I opened the first Amateur Electronic Supply in Orlando, Fl and remained for 3 years before switching to Electronic sales of high technology components.
Retired in 2002 and took my hobby business of Gourmet spices full time. Instant Gourmet is now available everywhere. That's fun too. http://instantgourmetspices.com.
I operate on all bands including VHF. My main station is a Flex-5000A and SB 221 that's like new and modified. For AM and vintage gear, I have a completely restored 200V and Collins R 388 that was hot rodded by Chuck Felton in Wyoming. Using a Loudenboomer amplifier with this combination. My Pro 67C is at 75 feet and above that are 3Ci 6 and 2 meter beams.
Married to a wonderful wife, 25 pound Maine Coon and Rag doll cats. Life is good. Look for me on the bands.
